West Lakes Adventure, the Eskdale based provider of outdoor activities, have announced a programme of taster sessions during the April and May school holidays.
The first session is on Monday April 15th, 3 hour duration titled Climbing in Eskdale. Other 3 hour taster sessions during the Easter holidays include abseiling, archery, ghyll scrambling and canoeing. They are a great chance for all ages to experience an outdoor activity they may not have tried before and surely even the most awkward of teenager will manage to stay focused for 3 hours!
Easter weekend sees double the enjoyment and double the duration with WLA multi activity days. Choose between Lake District canoeing, http://www.westlakesadventure.co.uk/canoeing-activities, and ghyll scrambing on Easter Saturday or Sunday’s session of climbing and abseiling. Both 6 hour sessions.
More 3 hour taster sessions will run during the May half term but also in May family/group multi activity days are scheduled on Saturday 3rd May and Saturday 24th May. These special days not only include at least 2 outdoor activities but also pizza and chips in The Woolpack Inn afterwards and they will most definitely have been earned!
All these activities are based around the Western Lake District valleys of Wasdale and Eskdale and the terrain couldn’t be more suited to these types of outdoor pursuits. For family or group members not participating in the activities they won’t be short of places to walk, take in the scenery or for a spot of lunch and a pint of local real ale.
